Pisgah National Forest - A great place to spend time picnicking, fishing, hiking, or just viewing the mountains from the Blue Ridge Parkway at 4000 feet and above. Visit places like Cradle of Forestry, Looking Glass Falls, Pisgah Center Wildlife Education, Sliding Rock, Shining Rock and Cold Mountain.
Silvermont - Good ole fashion pickin 'n' grinin, come sit a spell and enjoy music from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. Thursday nights. (located on Main St, Brevard)
Transylvania County - visit this site to see over 250 waterfalls in Transylvania County.
